Rhinomanometry is a clear evidence of the respiratory function of the nose, measuring heating and humidification of inhaled air and observing whether there is any change in airflow through the nostrils, both during inspiration and during expiration. This test is useful in detecting obstructions or resistance caused by polyps, inflammation of the nasal mucosa, nasal septum deviation, etc. Moreover, in some of these diseases it helps determine if surgery is necessary, and is also used to check the effectiveness of some treatments or interventions allergies.
