Arteries carry oxygen-rich blood from the heart to other parts of the body. The aorta, the largest artery of the body, comes from the heart, through the chest and reaches the abdomen (called abdominal region).
The peripheral artery disease occurs when the peripheral arteries become too narrow or clogged, which restricts blood flow to the legs.
Currently there is no evidence that treatment with hyperbaric chamber work in the diabetic foot. There are a number of scales that allow the doctor to evaluate the patient with diabetic foot and offer the best treatment option.
