perspiration The emotional condition of hyperhidrosis to the patient's personality is varied. Some people can be wringing with sweat and their activities is not affected; but the vast majority will present discomfort of varying degrees up to the severe and disabling form where they can not perform common or everyday activities, such is the case of sweaty palms.

Disabling emotional problem

The emotional problem finca from the very beginning that the patient perceives his discomfort and comes with family and close friends, which only you reproach her nervousness, "you sweat why are you nervous" or "are sick of nerves and not you can control. "

Given this, the affected is immersed in a conflict because the patient knows he can sweat even when not nervous, alleging that they do not believe the person concerned and that it sows its traumas, complexes, frustrations, limitations and rejection conflict to different activities physical, sports, social and cultural. Feeling misunderstood, patients go to the next level of condition where safety is limited, confidence, self - esteem and ability to perform in any activity or development stage. This causes different desertion and abandonment of school, social and cultural activities, being patient with severe rejection, mainly of them to society, not society more to them.

In adults who develop a work activity their activities are affected markedly, although they work, they do a very limited extent. Of course with rejection in their social performance and due to the inability to sustain relationships (bachelors couples), personal involvement is much greater.

There are many examples of situations where sweat, more than being a limitation, is a disabling form of the development of a profession or economic activity. For example, the most significant cases are those in which the work activity is linked to hyperhidrosis, ie, sweat hands in a dentist: gloved and dripping with sweat hand sweat hands on an architect: wet papers; sweat hands in a public relations chief with severe underarm sweating, hand or face; and so many examples of situations.

In the social aspect, are patients who shun society and friendly circles all the time, and end of day retreat into a closed airtight which do not allow the entry of one world, therefore, many fall into obsessions, compulsions and isolation social. It is people who feel misunderstood and that no one understands your problem.

That is why several of these patients come to my office believing anxious crisis or suffering from anxiety disorder, but none of these conditions is to blame for their misfortunes, if there were any, would be abnormal sweating called hyperhidrosis.
