Most people who choose to undergo a functional rhinoplasty is because they probably beat their noses and as a result they deviated the pyramid and nasal septum, which prevents good breathing.

Nowadays, in Mexico and in the world, rhinoplasty is the most aesthetic functional procedure that is performed per year, in both men and women.

Rhinoplasty Procedure

The study that must undergo a patient before going to the operating room is a paranasal sinus tomography, in order to rule out some conditions such as sinusitis or polyps. If the process is only esthetic simply preoperative studies are performed.

Functional and aesthetic rhinoplasty normally lasts for 2 to 3 hours and is performed in an operating room. The patient is anesthetized by protection and the process can be developed properly.

After Rhinoplasty

The patient should rest for approximately 10 days to avoid infection, bleeding or opening of wounds. Also, a soft tooth is recommended, accompanied by anti-inflammatory and preventive antibiotic treatment.
