Radiofrequency denervation

The radiofrequency denervation is a procedure to modify and reduce the perception of pain by application of voltage changes in the nervous tissue that produces it. This technique involves the use of electrodes connected to a system of emission of radio waves that manage to cauterize the nerve responsible for pain, through the heat emitted. It is a treatment that works well for pain in the joints of the neck, and is also used in the treatment of cervical pain or to treat low back pain. To first determine if the nerves of the joints are causing the pain a block injections can be applied to these nerves and see if there is pain relief.
