Holter blood pressure is a tool for measuring blood. Clinical and physical examination provide little information regarding the diagnosis of hypertension, although sometimes making casual one measurement is sufficient to determine the outcome. The monitoring of blood pressure is to perform, non-invasive way, at least three tests carried out on three different occasions. In general, the position taken by the patient is sitting comfortably and with the forearm resting squarely. The measuring device comprises an inflatable cuff with a pressure gauge (mercury sphygmomanometer) to be calibrated frequently. In the case of obese children and adults appropriate to the thickness of the arm sleeves are used to calculate the systolic pressure. To assess the results, you must consider several factors: the temperature of the room (to be nice), clothing should not compress the arm, and above all, do not eat, smoke or exposure to cold at least 30 minutes prior to the test run.
