Dr. Erick Céspedes Meneses is a world-class professional. He received us directly in his office without a wait. On our first visit he spent nearly 90 minutes reviewing my PET scan, 2 CT scans, an xray, oral history, etc. He was a terrific listener with a gentle manner. He thoroughly explained to my husband and I what he saw/the diagnosis, the steps of surgery including advantages and risks, as well as recovery time and steps. He was thorough, clear, willing to repeat and explain, which to me is a tremendous gift. He welcomed our questions and doubts, which sadly many surgeons do not. He asked us questions other experts did not, considering possibilities that other doctors did not. The UniPortal treatment that he has pioneered in México is the most minimally invasive approach, with the fastest recovery time, according to other doctors we talked with who aren't skilled to do it. Dr. Céspedes was available easily via WhatsApp, email and phone, and answered our questions and concerns quickly and clearly. He has studied on at least three continents, and regularly attends multiple conferences, so that he stays abreast of the latest medical science breakthroughs.
